RESPONSIBILITIES
Create a warm and welcoming environment for SAFE in Harlem teens and youth
Liaise with Harlem Village Academies Elementary, Middle & High School for purpose of recruit new teen and youth members
Liaise with 12 sectors to implement Teen-driven ideas
Liaise with community stakeholders such as community board 9 & 10, 125th street BID Parks Dept to help move initiatives forward
Ensure that goals and objectives, as outlined in the CDC grant, are met. If milestones are not met, document shortfall and work with Director to develop a plan to support growth
Travel with teens and Director to Washington, DC for National Youth Leadership Initiative Conference
Provide charted data of milestones to evaluator for analysis and reporting to CDC
Every two years candidate will Collect 30-day use data from 6th, 8th, 10th and 12th grade students, and deliver raw data to evaluator for analysis
Support and participate in weekly staff meetings
Order Supplies for SAFE in Harlem initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Experience using computers for a variety of tasks
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Knowledge of project management software tools
Ability to work on tight deadlines
