The PILLARS: Recovery Redesigned

The PILLARS offers holistic approaches to substance abuse recovery. Through our comprehensive network of partnerships all, who are in recovery and those loving someone in active addiction, can receive the support they need to enjoy a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

More than just a recovery center.

The four PILLARS are designed to support client’s goals for self-actualization, reintegration into their family, positive engagement with the community, and to enjoy a productive life in society.

Yoga, Meditation, Acupuncture, & Reiki

Now is the time to be selfish! Meet with a personalized recovery coach,  practice yoga and meditation, or allow yourself to receive reiki and acupuncture as healthy alternatives to manage stress, emotions, and environments. It is only through self-care that we can learn to care for others.

DV Prevention & Parenting Skills Classes

Your family deserves the best. The PILLARS offers education and support groups to strengthen family connections. Through these programs, families can learn healthy communication skills, parenting skills, and knowledge on how to best support one another.

Mental Health First AiD Training & Volunteerism

The PILLARS offers several opportunities to support your community. AA/NA meetings support individuals in recovery who may be new to the program. We also offer daily and weekly opportunities for to volunteer your talents with us.

Osha Training, Computer Classes, & GED Prep

The PILLARS offers workforce development classes and vocational trainings (e.g. OSHA and recovery advocacy) which integrate your personal values, beliefs, and abilities with opportunities to help increase financial  sustainability.

Supporting our community.

The Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) has funded a Recovery Community and Outreach Center in each of the five boroughs. The PILLARS is Manhattan's Center.  Although located in the heart of Harlem, we serve individuals and families across the entire island of Manhattan. From Battery Park to Washington Heights, we welcome all who are in recovery and others loving someone in active addiction.
